Meet Georgia..... she is one of our regular customers at Tessuti Chatswood and hopefully will be a regular feature on 'Sew Tessuti'. Since moving to Sydney from Melbourne and discovering our stores she has really been sewing up a storm. Making the most wonderful creations for herself and her daughter.
Georgia has a real knack for choosing a great pattern and matching it to just the right fabric. She is also a very skilled sewer ( & she has only been sewing for the last 3 years !!!) and isn't afraid to make slight adjustments to her patterns to create her own style and adjust fit.
Here Georgia has made this gorgeous dress using Vogue 8184 in Tessuti's cotton/elastane 'Madonna Spot'. Here she chose style #F - the only alteration she made was taking it in from below the bust ( all the way through the dart ) to fit her shape.
In fact this style suited her body shape so well Georgia has made it up again - using the fuller skirt in style #C.
All I can say is D-I-V-I-N-E.
But you will have to wait till my next post to see it as I'm a little weary from staying up late blogging!!!
Here is a great tutorial on how to apply an invisible zipper.
