This image shows another place to add a frill - on the outer edge of shoulder straps. It helps to hide any bra straps that may show and also give a plain strap a lovely finish.
You can use a frilly trim like to lovely ones I posted about yesterday or you can make them out of fabric. Here I have made the frill out of Tessuti's 'Bird Lover' 100% cotton voile - which is also on the lower part of my top.
This frill is folded in half and gathered and inserted in between the two strap pieces - which are fused with a light weight interfacing.
