Isn't this fabric fun? The cotton print is rather aptly named 'Giraffe', and I just love it!
A couple of weeks ago when the Sydney temperatures reached into the mid 30s, Raewin breezed into our Tessuti Surry Hills store looking fabulous in this sundress. It caused quite a stir, so much so that even one of the husbands, waiting patiently on the lounge for his wife (most of us are familiar with this scene!), commented on how wonderful her dress looked.
The pattern used is New Look 6557-view E. There are various neckline options for different bust shapes. Raewin made an adjustment to the fit at the bust by pinching out a little on the pattern piece (to eliminate gaping) and lightly interfaced the midriff panels for more support. Her painstaking effort to match the print at the center back - well worth the effort - creates a really dynamic effect.
Just perfect from head to toe and a really striking look....
