Meet Jessica. Does she look slightly familiar? She should - she's the spitting image of her mum Georgia.
This post had to follow the last pattern review of this peasant dress also made from McCalls 5050. Georgia whipped up this shorter version for Jess in Tessuti's 100% silk habutai 'Sun Gold'. Jess told me that when she first saw the fabric after her Mum purchased it, she wasn't particularly taken by what she saw. Needless to say, the final product changed her mind and she absolutely loves it! Just goes to show that (a bit like judging a book by it's cover), you can't always judge a fabric by the bolt. If you know what I mean...
Thanks Jess for popping into Surry Hills to show us yet more of your Mum's fine work.
