One metre of this Prada 100% Silk Satin has been sitting in my stash since last summer! I've been too scared to cut it up...I'm thinking silk nightie....any suggestions?

ReplyDeleteVery beautiful! I agree too pretty for a nightie. I love how it is draped on the dress form. How about a simple one shouldered top? Or a dress with the bottom in a silk satin black or blue?
ReplyDeleteOMG Collette...that is one fabulous piece of fabric. Far to fab to cut up - Why dont you do what I do with its sister piece - the red Prada hearts you brought back from one of your Europe buying trips. I sleep with mine under my pillow !!!!

ReplyDeleteI have adapted the pattern I made for Stella (similar to the one your girls made) to suit an older mix (bit more shape front and back). It's terribly simple but sometmes a little goes a long way - I'll put photos up tonight.
I like Noosa Girl's idea of sleeping with it under your pillow. I have fabrics from YEARS ago that I can't cut into because they are so precious!
