We've been stocking Japanese pattern books for a while now but if ever there was one we had to call a bestseller, this is it - Drape Drape 2 (follow up to - wait for it - Drape Drape). Our first delivery sold out in days and we've just received fresh stock.

After I saw Nichola's first version of this dress....

(and her second, here), I had to have a go. The fact that it's one pattern piece - plus arm and neck bindings - makes this an absolute winner. I made my first version from a tie-dyed viscose spandex blend (sold out).

My second version is in Purdie Stripe, another viscose/spandex blend and a fabric I've had my eye on for ages.

Between Nichola's versions and mine, I can almost feel a Tessuti uniform coming on...

Drape Drape 2, I think I love you...
