Anyone notice I was gone?

OK, I've officially given up on the idea that I can put up a blog post or two while we're away on our buying trip. It's all too tricky and I'm not at all keen on carting around a laptop as I'm always losing things, this year it was my makeup bag and iPhone!!!!

Well, we're just back and I really can't wait to show you all what we've bought for the upcoming seasons. Now we just have to figure out where we're going to put it all....

Oh, and I had an idea for a giveaway but I left that behind too! It's now coming with the fabric delivery, so do stay tuned.

Lovely Leisl in lovely Liberty

I feel like such a lazy blogger when I pinch someones picture and blog about it. But I have Leisl's permission to share the love, so that makes me feel better.

Check out the original post here. This one's made up in Hanako Blue Liberty Jersey (limited stock available in Melbourne only).

Gee, we've got some clever staff. Not to mention stylish too...

So nice she made it twice - Simplicity 2694

Janet's back after a wee sewing hiatus with these two beauties. The pattern is Simplicity 2694 - a Project Runway number - and the fabric is Primaluna, a beautiful, felted cashmere (10%)/wool(70%)/poly (20%) blend that's available to order at all stores.

The two dresses are made up in Viola and Winter White colourways. Both fabrics were purchased from our remnant table so Janet had to play around with some of the pattern pieces to suit the fabric lengths available. You'll see that her sleeves and collar are a little different to the pattern options. In both dresses, she used the selvedge as hem.

And how cute are these self-made buttons?
