Pattern Review - Simplicity 2406

Belinda, a busy mum and Tessuti online customer from WA, kindly sent me pictures via email of these two lovely dresses made up in Cynthia Rowley pattern Simplicity 2406. The first is View B made up in Japanese cotton Hokko Ocean Bloom (sold out) and below, View D made up in printed 100% Cotton Python with contrasting straps and two-tone tie belt made using a plain black cotton.

The only alteration made was to take it in slightIy as Belinda found the pattern a little wide for her slight frame, so in the View B (above) darts were added in the back and in the View D Belinda took it in slightly in at centre back.

I've had an eye on this pattern, after seeing a similar sleeve detail over here. Thanks Belinda for the photos and inspiration....I've just bought the pattern!

  1. Both versions look amazing! I've got a half finished view B sitting here, so you've just inspired me to actually get around to finishing it this weekend!
