2012 Tessuti Awards - entries now open!

It's on again! Now in it's fifth year, the annual Tessuti Awards is a design and dressmaking competition where the only credentials for entry are a joy and appreciation of sewing, fashion, creativity and, most importantly, fun!

In 2012, we're expanding the competition and inviting people from all over the world to enter our online event. Unleash your inner designer with this year's category Spots and Stripes. Be inspired by this playful theme and create a dress suitable for daywear incorporating spots, stripes or a combination of both.

This year, we're thrilled to be welcoming a brand new sponsor - Skiddoo. Thanks to Skiddoo our fantastic first prize is a trip for two (valued at $5000) to your global destination of choice. Once again, the lovely George O'Keefe from Bernina Sewing Centre - Chatswood is sponsoring our second prize - a Bernina 700D Overlocker (valued at $799). And special thanks must also go to Melbourne artist Emma Leonard for this year's beautiful poster illustration.

For more details on how to enter this year's Tessuti Awards, go to www.tessutiawards.com.au.

Good luck, happy spots, cheery stripes and great sewing! We can't wait to see your creations.
