Diamond City Pant

Here's Lenka's striking new pants she made in our Diamond City - this design has sold out online but is still available at Tessuti Melbourne. The same fabric and composition can be seen in this design, Just Peaking as well as in some more subtle designs.

This Italian designer fabric has a geometric design similar to ones seen in Prada's current winter 12/13 collection. The fabric is an unusual silk crepe de chine that is backed with a thick viscose blend backing, so is only suitable for structured garments like jackets, coats, shell tops, straight or a-line skirts and simple shorts.

Pants, especially slim ones, would be tricky due to the fabric having very little give or ease, however Lenka solved this problem by adding a waistband and side seam band down the legs in our stretch Black Ponti Knit. The black strip down the leg adds a striking feature as well as allowing Lenka to sit and bend in these!

The pant pattern was put together with a bit of this'n' that from her stash of Burda and Patrones pattern magazines.

  1. I really like the geometric shapes of this pants. Hopefully I will collect also just like diamond-shapes pant someday. Thanks for sharing and I also refer this to my friend.
