Last week, we received an email from recently-wed Rachel. Not so long ago, she came into our Melbourne store and purchased Cut-out Floral Tulle in Ivory
(also available in black
) to make up for her wedding day. The resulting dress and photos are so dreamy that we simply had to share.
The dress was made by Tristan Seebohm, a Melbourne-based designer who splits his time between working for Shane McConnell Bridal Couture and freelance costume projects. Of her design, Rachel says...
We went for a classic late 50's-early 60's silhouette with a fitted bodice and full skirt in ivory silk duchess satin, with an overlay in flower-embellished tulle. The youthful, fun look of the flower-covered tulle, the cocktail-length skirt (just above the knee) and the clean lines of the gown all help to modernise a very 'vintage' shape, matching it to my personal style and the theme of the day.
The photographs were taken by South-Australian based photographer, Grant Beed
. You can view more of their fun and fabulous images here
Thanks Rachel and Jared for allowing us to share your day, and big flower-filled congrats to you both!
