*Japanese Patternbook Workshop - This class is specifically aimed at helping students understand how to use the wonderful range of Japanese sewing pattern books currently available.
Topics such as interpreting instruction sketches and pattern adjustments will be addressed. Students bring their own project (book, fabric, tracing paper, highlighter pen, pencils and sewing things) and teacher Megan will help you locate and trace your pattern pieces and then interpret the diagrams in the book for construction. Students are welcome to begin at home (tracing off pattern onto paper) if they feel confident and use the class to focus on whatever part of the process they are most concerned about. Students can email Megan before the class, if needing help to decide if a project or fabric is suitable.
