Winter Eva Tunic Dress in Nero Kurepu

With the latest arrival of some pretty gorgeous Japanese wool crepe - Nero Kurepu (also available in Cherry Red) - I was keen to whip myself up a lovely crepe Eva Dress for winter.

Because I wanted to wear this with fitted jersey tops on cooler days, I modified the original sleeveless bodice pattern for this tunic version. I lowered and brought in the armhole by 3cm and raised the neckline at the front by 5cm, as well as bringing the neckline edge in 1cm to sit closer to the neck. For the back bodice, I did the same to the armhole as the front, but lowered the neckline and brought it in at the neck edge by 1cm (click on images below for a closer look). The skirt panels are as per the original pattern.

The contrast neck and armhole bindings are made from our Japanese 100% cotton Indigo Shibori. For added detail I topstitched the bodice, skirt panel seam and hem edges in contrasting grey thread using the triple topstitch on my machine.

Underneath I'm wearing a modified Alexa T Top that has a wider neckline. The fabric  is viscose/elastane Black Line Cruise and as the temperature drops, so will my sleeve lengths.

Don't be surprised if you regularly see me in store wearing this outfit. I have a feeling I'll be wearing this A LOT!
