Earlier today on Instagram
, we announced the prize winners for our 2016 In Season Silk Sewing Competition
. So big, shouty CONGRATULATIONS to our major prize winners below!
Reannon's dress does a spectacular job of showcasing this digital print in all it's autumnal glory. The pattern she used is Vogue 8827 (very sadly OOP) View C.
The simple drape and fall of the silk complements the dress' full length and exaggerated lapel to perfection! It was the winning combination of simple, classic elegance that made this our favourite entry.
Second prize went to Debbie with her knockout bias cut dress featuring shoulder cut outs. And self drafted, no less. The fit is SO beautiful - go check out more photos on her blog over here
And in Third Place - with her 'dress of swishy swishyness' - is Rachel! The fitted bodice and full skirt give this fabric a whole other fresh, fun look. She used a vintage 80s pattern and more details and pics are on her blog
You can see all the submitted garments over on our In Season Pinterest board
. Thanks to EVERYONE who entered and we hope you enjoy wearing all of your wonderful makes x
