The skirt fabric is our Coal Fields, a cotton/polyamide blend (there's a small amount left in Melbourne only, as well as pale blue, white and lavender colourways). Of the pattern, Rachael said she had to take in the front curved seams a little and she lengthened the front darts quite a bit. She also eliminated top-stitching detail so that it didn't interfere with the fabric texture.
For her top, Rachel drafted the pattern herself using a tried and true block. I've seen her make a few of these in similar styles and it's a brilliant, simple design that can be modified in a number of subtle ways. For this one, she purchased just 10cm of this stunning Beaded Bronze Tulle (sold out online but available in Melbourne) to add as a shoulder detail.
Because of the minimal amount purchased, Rachael had to include a shoulder seam, barely visible with this type of beading. The main black fabric was a gorgeous crepe from her stash, similar in weight to a wool/viscose blend.
