Great use for press-stud tape.

Ever thought to use cotton press-stud tape as a trim on a garment?

Last summer Georgia created a great effect on a dress she made from Vogue 8232 in Tessuti's Cotton/ Elastane 'Punk Splash Bloom'(sold out), using both sides of this black cotton press-stud tape, found in our stores. Looks great doesn't it?

This was Georgia's first attempt at making up this pattern, (see her latest here) - she found the neckline gaped a bit at the front only. Since the dress was already cut out in this fabric, Georgia created a tuck pleat on either side of her neckline. Recutting the neck facing (as the new reshaped neckline). In this case it worked out great, but it's always best to cut out fitted bodices in calico, before cutting into your precious fabric. This is a really good habit to get into when sewing!
