We're back just in time to mark the blog's 3rd birthday! I can't believe how quickly this last year has passed. Both Lisa and I have so much fun sharing posts with you and hope you enjoy them too. We've grown quite fond of our blog and look forward to seeing what next year holds.
And to celebrate this little Sew Tessuti milestone, we've got FOUR giveaways including some goodies just purchased in Japan and a couple of Italian pattern magazines from our trip in June (remember the ones I left behind?!).
Giveaway #1: the latest Pattern Magic Book 3 for Stretch Fabrics... not yet available in our stores, but it's on its way!
Giveaway #2: Liberty Cute Accessories...just the book for the crafty sewer to make the cutest bags and accessories in lovely Liberty cottons plus 2 x 20cm Black Lacey Edged zippers.
Giveaway #3: Making Men's Shirts Pattern Book by Japanese designer Ryuichiro Shimazaki. Finally... some wonderful patterns for men's shirts.
Giveaway #4: Italian Burda 8/2010 and La Mia Boutique pattern magazines.

Thank you and good luck everyone!
xxx Colette and Lisa
PS Is there anything you'd like to see more or less of on our blog on 2011? If there is, we'd love this feedback in your comment too!
Anything to do with Japan and I'm in. I have very similar Osaka and Kyoto photos from my trip. I would love either Giveaway #1 OR #2, that would be just fine thank you!!! Glad you had a great trip...Terese
ReplyDeleteHi, I've been really enjoying your blog since I discovered it a few months back, it's very inspiring. Please count me in for a go at the Liberty book giveaway, thanks!
ReplyDeleteColette, love your blog, I like to see whats new and how your customers are using your fabrics. I have also aquired a passion for the Japanese pattern books, and have already bought a few from you.I cannot choose between your giveaways, so any of them would be lovely.
ReplyDeletetessutti blog is a favourite....I wold love to go in the draw for 'pattern magic for stretch fabrics' please.... thankyou for the very generous give-a-way...
ReplyDeleteDon't change a thing, the blog is terrific, I check every day to see if there's a new post. I particularly enjoy seeing how you, your team and customers use the fabrics and adapt patterns to suit fabrics, individual tastes and sizes - it certainly inspires me to be more adventurous.
ReplyDeleteHi there
ReplyDeleteOnly discovered your blog a couple of days ago and became a follower straight away and have already linked to you in a post on my own blog. You lot are fab. (#Ha ha, that's enough ass kissing for now!)Being new to dressmaking, I hadn't seen any of the Japanese pattern books before I found you. They are amazing, so Giveaway #1 would be so exciting to win, but being an avid crafter I'd be equally delighted with giveaway #2 (and those zips are just to die for. Perfect for the trend for exposed zips!. Thanks for all the lovely content on your blog.
Miss P
xxx (these are not ass kisses, just normal ones ;)
I love your blog, but I would just like to see 'more' in general..... more frequent postings. Not asking for much, am I? Haha...
ReplyDeletePrize preference would be 2 or 4.
Please include me! I'd love to have any of the prizes. The only thing I'd change about the blog is MORE - more spotlights on fabrics you carry and more glimpses of finished garments made with your fabrics. :-)
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteI wouldlove to win Giveaway prize #3. I want to make shirt for my hubby. Hope my wish come true!

Congratulations Colette on the big 3!
ReplyDeleteIt's always great to see what customers have made using Tessuti fabrics. Maybe you could pick something every month from the flickr pool and feature it here in more detail?
Thanks for the giveaway...Number 1, 3, 4 or 2 would be my prize order preference.
Love your blog from my beautiful hometown of Sydney.......I now live in MINNESOTA USA......I am not fussy....any of your giveaways would be grand........
ReplyDeleteJoanneM
I just love those Japanese sewing books. I was in your Surry Hills store last week and was looking through your great collection. Why didn't I know about these before? Have been surfing the net about these ever since. Why would you use butterick etc if you can use one of these? The fashions are fabulous and the the photos are great to see them made up in my favourite fabric of all time - linen So I would love Giveaway #1 or Giveaway #4 (gotta love the value of these mags).
ReplyDeleteCan I buy those gorgeous lacy zips online? I love your blog and check for updates everyday. Seeing your fabrics made up is particularly inspiring.
ReplyDeleteHi there,
ReplyDeleteI especially like the pattern reviews on your blog. Great to see your fabrics made up into garments especially from the Japanese Pattern books.
And I would love to win Giveaway number 1
Thank you :)
Happy 3rd Blog Birthday! I am a follower of your blog and thank god I am because I get so much amazing inspiration from here and all the people's work that you post about. I made my own tessuti fave top a few weeks ago. My preference would be for #4 or failing that #3.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous trip! I would love giveaway #1 or #3. Great blog, I really love seeing the Tessuti fabrics made into amazing creations and my appetite for them is insatiable so more of those please!
ReplyDeletewow looks like a great trip! Those Lacy zips are gorgeous, will have to look for them next time i pop into lt collins st :-)

What a fabulous trip!
ReplyDeleteYou must have enjoyed sourcing more wonderful things for Tessuti.
Happy 3rd Blog Birthday too. I don't think you need to change anything. It's a daily stop for me for inspiration.
#2 looks awesome. I'm a Liberty addict and those zippers are amazing.
WOW - what an exciting trip - the photos are lovely! My preference would be #2, but then again #1 looks great as well - happy birthday. And I enjoy the current format of the blog - Pattern Reviews, techniques, fashion forward stuff is always good!
ReplyDeleteI would love to win giveaway #2! Those lacey zippers are fantastic. I was lucky enough to be in Japan in October and your beautiful photos of Osaka and Kyoto took me right back there!
ReplyDeleteMichelle
I would love giveaway #2! It's so perfect. I love the Tessuti blog, as a novice dressmaker I get enormous inspiration from seeing what patterns people are using and how they choose their fabrics. Keep up the good work.
ReplyDeleteLooks like it was a wonderful trip. I love your blog, it always inspires me to keep sewing. Re the giveway, I would like #4. I taught myself to sew with a copy of La Mia Boutique when I was living in Italy and had no maoney. That and an pocket English/Italian dictionary. So La Mia Boutique and Burda for me!(Vicki)
ReplyDeleteOh, tough choice! #4 would be awesome, as I rarely buy sewing magazines, so I guess that's my choice. But those little lace zips are the CUTEST! I hope you start stocking them? And pattern magic for stretch looks way interesting, but as I haven't conquered my fear of stretch fabric yet, it probably isn't for me!
ReplyDeleteI love your blog, always gives me great ideas, particularly the pattern reviews. Congrats on the big 3rd birthday. I would love to win either Giveaway #1 or #4 would be great.
ReplyDeleteKeep up the great work!

What a fantastic trip, I can't wait to see the fabrics that followed you home. Thanks for the time you put into making this blog so interesting and informative, and for your wonderful selection of fabrics. I'm fascinated by the Pattern Magic Book 3 for Stretch Fabrics, so should I be lucky enough to win my choice is for giveaway #1.
ReplyDeleteI'm a daily blog reader or would like to be if you could write the blog daily! I am always inspired by the garments made by everyone but have trouble putting inspiration into action. I need to come to classes I think! Would love #3 #1 #4 #2
ReplyDeleteI read your blog on Google's RSS and would love the La Mia Boutique magazine please. BTW Pattern Magic 1 and II are out in English =D
ReplyDeleteCongrats on turning 3!
ReplyDeleteI have been reading your blog since I moved to Hobart, whose only downfall is a severe lack of lovely fabric, so I spend way too much time drooling over the online store & blog.
Don't change a thing, just add more!
Would love to go in the draw for #4
Thanks!
Congratulations on 3 years. Love the blog, check in all the time for inspiration. Also, while I make good use of the online fabric shop, it was so exciting to get into the shop in person when in Sydney recently (of course, walking away with gorgeous fabric!!).
ReplyDeleteWhat great giveaways, all of them. Please put me down for #4, although all of the Japanese books are super tempting too....
My favourite fabric shop and my favourite blog - don't change a thing. How can I choose my preferred giveaway - they're all wonderful. I guess I can't go past #1,Pattern Magic Book 3 - these Japanese publications are fantastic. Or maybe the magazines in #4 ... Have a very happy Christmas.

ReplyDeleteYour blogs are great, the awards are superb - don't change a thing. Just give us more more more!! I really enjoy reading your blog as well as the ones in your "More Sewing and Crafty Folk" - it's my lunchtime hobby: surfing the sewing net via the Tessuti blog. #1 or #3 but anything to do with sewing has a place in my house.
ReplyDeleteI love the thought of you going on fabric buying trips...means more fabulous fabrics for us on the way!
ReplyDeleteAs you know, your blog is one of my favourites. I love the pattern reviews, especially the ones of your own sewing.

I discovered your blogs about 18 months ago and love it. Thanks for all the inspiration tips and great pattern reviews. Keep up the great work and I would like to go in the draw for the Liberty cute accessories thank you.
ReplyDeleteThat silk draped on the table looks amazing! And, I can't decide if I'd rather visit Japan in Autumn (those leaves look amazing!) or in Spring - I imagine they both showcase the country magically.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to be included in draw #1 for the Pattern Magic Book 3. That series has been just amazing, and I imagine this will be no exception!!
yes please any of these would be received enthusiastically!!!!
ReplyDelete#1 or #4 would be fabulous, please put me in the draw for them.
ReplyDeleteI adore reading your blog, and, like a few others, I'd love to see MORE of it. In particular more finished products and tips on uses for your fabrics so I'll feel more confident buying them online, 'sight unseen' (I'm not in Sydney or Melbourne).

I have introduced my sister in the UK to it now, she is new to blogs and and she loves it too. Great photos of Japan and China - makes me want to jump straight back on the plane. Congratulations on 3 years, please keep It up and don't change a thing. I couldn't choose a giveaway, they all look great but really just thanks for the effort you put in on this! Not sure how to ID this....it's me, Margaret from Sydney x
ReplyDeleteI am so intimidated by Pattern magic 1, I can't imagine how awesome the projects in 3 are!!!
ReplyDeleteHey Collette, judging from the comments on this last post you and Tessuti are certainly much loved. Speaking of love...I would love to win giveaway no. 2 or 4.
ReplyDeleteWelcome home....those pictures are fabulous !!
Hi Collette and Lisa,
ReplyDeleteHave loved reading all about the fantastic things you make up in your fabrics for the past 2 years since I started following your blog. Would love either giveaway #1 or #3.

Hi, I would love to see more pattern reviews with fabric from Tessuti, they are always so inspiring and a bit unexpected. I would love to win #1 or #4. My Japanese could use some practice so #1 would be ideal. Thanks for all the posts and inspiration! XX Carolyn
ReplyDeleteHi, I would love the Liberty Cute Accessories book with the two beautiful lace zips - never seen zips like that!
ReplyDeleteI like the Tessuti blog just the way it is. It is inspiring, shows real people modelling the clothes they made in the fabrics available to us, sometimes in several versions. I always eagerly await the next entry. Plus we get to hear about the staff and going ons. It makes a reader feel part of it.
.... Sara N.

Love your web site and blog. Just purchased a Japanese pattern book yesterday and looking forward to trying one myself! What a wonderful trip to Japan you had. If I won a prize It is hard to choose. Either the mens shirt pattern book or the Liberty pattern with lacy zips! Adore your Melbourne shop. Thanks. JoAnn
ReplyDeleteI am completely addicted to the Japanese pattern books. I cannot enter your store in Melbourne without carrying at least one of them. Cant wait for the stretch book to reach our shores. If today was my lucky day I would love any of the Japanese books.
