New York Cape Pattern

I've finally finished the hooded capes! I made two in fact, one in a Italian felted wool 'Red Wine Check' (sold out), and the other in a double sided charcoal felted wool 'Grey Hinterland'. This New York Cape pattern will be available for sale on the online shop very soon just finalising printing of the pattern with concise instructions.

It really is such an easy pattern to put together, with most of the work in the binding (Hong Kong Binding) on the seams/facing edges and around the outer edge. The best result I could get for the outer edging was with our Mokuba 100% Wool Binding, available in various colours. The cape does require just on 5mts of binding, but it's totally worth it.

So glad I finished these, they're just the thing for a chilly winters day!

  2. Beautiful! But even better, that looks like a very PRACTICAL cape. Some of them look as though you can't actually do very much when wearing them - a but like wearing a big cardboard box.
