Julia's Sunny New York Cape

I spotted Julia's version of our New York Cape pattern on Burdastyle recently. Doesn't she look gorgeous?

It's interesting how different the pattern looks in this butter yellow wool/cashmere coating with large buttons. Julia decided to line the cape after finding a New York themed cotton print - this works so well as I doubt it would have been easy to find a binding to match the yellow plus it adds a whimsical charm to the cape! So if the outer binding is also an issue for you this could be something to consider.

Julia's outlined how she altered the pattern to add lining and importantly to ensure that the lining didn't poke out at the edges, along with her comments over on Pattern Review.

Clever Julia! This certainly would brighten up any winter's day!

Don't forget to email me your version of this pattern or upload them on our Flickr Group page. We'd love to see them!
