I'm really excited about the release of our latest pattern, the Tokyo Jacket. This
loose, relaxed style has three-quarter length magyar sleeves. The
neckline, cuffs and pockets are trimmed with a band that provides smart
and simple detailing. This jacket is suitable for all ages and can be
dressed both up or down. Best of all is that that no
interfacing, lining, buttons, buttonholes or shoulder pads are required!
Our Tokyo Jacket Pattern comes complete with sizes XS, S, M, L and XL and is available in both hardcopy OR print at home A4/copy shop.

Another wonderful pattern, I need to start making some! Can I ask a silly question re: paper size for the print at copy shop pdf version? What paper size should be used?
ReplyDeleteThank you!
Miriana
Hi Miriana, the paper size for the print at home is A4 sheets and to print the full layout at a copy shop/printing shop is 80cm x 145cm

Thank you Colette. I'll see if I can find a copy shop that can print that paper size - would be easier than lots of A4 sheets!
DeleteIt looks great. I love the swing to it and I love the spotted fabric. Might have to download a copy!
ReplyDeleteI love it! Is it as easy as it looks?
ReplyDeleteHi Nat at Made in Home, it;s the easiest jacket I ever made!
DeleteAnother really lovely design - cant wait to make it!
ReplyDeleteAs a beginner sewer, do you think this would be a manageable project?
ReplyDeleteHi Jan,
DeleteYes I do think this would be managable, as long as you can handle a fabric with some drape, as this jacket looks best in flowy fabric with some body. If you follow the sewing instructions, take your time and sew with care I think you'll find this an enjoyable jacket to make.

PS. I'd love to hear your feedback if you do make this
I just bought this and am super excited to make one up for Mum! Only thing is that I don't have an overlocker - assuming that the standard zigzag using a normal machine should be good enough?
ReplyDeleteHi SuBoo -
DeleteFortunately, there aren't too many exposed seams. If your fabric is light enough you could do a french seam down the centre back. You'll only need to zigzag the back hem edge, side and shoulder seams. You could also do the pocket seam, but that's covered so it's not mandatory. Happy sewing!
Thanks Colette! x
