NEW Brigitte Boat Neck Top pattern

Brigitte (full length sleeve)

Say hello to our newest pattern - the Brigitte Top. She's a fitted, classic boat neck (bateau) top with set in sleeves. The pattern also includes four alternate sleeve length options - cap, elbow, three-quarter and full length.

              Brigitte (half length sleeve) in White Galaxy (body) and complementary sleeve

Brigitte (full length sleeve) in Ebony Scalloped Lace (available in Navy in Melbourne)

                                               Brigitte (cap sleeve) in Black Ponti

Each pattern includes sizes (AUS sizing) 6, 8, 10, 12, 14 and 16. For a limited time only, the Brigitte Top pattern is available in hardcopy format for $18. PDF print-at-home/print copy shop files are also available to download for $10 via the online shop. Suitable fabrics include stretch jersey or light weight ponti.

    1. Hi Kathy. The armholes are ever-so-slighty cut in. The model that we used is quite broad shouldered so it looks more pronounced in these images. Hope that helps!

  2. The Brigitte pattern is fantastic! I've been looking for a retro bateau neck top, to try my hand at sewing stretch knits, after decades of working with wovens. I loved the instant gratification of whipping up a top in an afternoon!

    The pattern is simple and your instructions are very clear. I printed out the pattern at Officeworks to one AO sheet, to save myself the cutting & pasting. My fabric is a lovely cherry red jersey which stitched up beautifully.

    I love your tip for twin needle top-stitching to mimic a professional cover stitch finish. This worked a treat on my Bernina.
