Local Melbournite Monica has been a long time customer of Tessuti's, making quick visits to one or two of our Sydney stores when she can. Mostly, Monica makes a special trip to check out our latest arrivals from the European designers.
Monica was also the very first customer to walk into our brand new Tessuti Melbourne store on our first trading day, to say hello and check out our gorgeous new space in the old ragtrade district in Flinders Lane.
Monica popped in later to show us one of her creations from her Sydney purchases - this jacket made from our Italian Wool/Lurex Tweed (picked up from our Surry Hills store) and trimmed with beautiful Swarovski crystal beads in different shapes (bought in Hong Kong), bow-tie front shirt in 'Silver' 100% Silk Duppion and a panelled skirt in Grey Wool Flannel. I wish I could tell you what patterns Monica used, but says she drafted the patterns herself, using bits from her extensive pattern collection.
It was lovely to see you in Melbourne Monica - I'll be sure to bring you back more delicious fabrics from our next buying trip at the end of June.
