The dress was made by Tristan Seebohm, a Melbourne-based designer who splits his time between working for Shane McConnell Bridal Couture and freelance costume projects. Of her design, Rachel says...
We went for a classic late 50's-early 60's silhouette with a fitted bodice and full skirt in ivory silk duchess satin, with an overlay in flower-embellished tulle. The youthful, fun look of the flower-covered tulle, the cocktail-length skirt (just above the knee) and the clean lines of the gown all help to modernise a very 'vintage' shape, matching it to my personal style and the theme of the day.
The dress is utterly adorable, and the couple are a breath of fresh air. I love what photographers are doing with weddings these days. ;-)
